2025 G.P.S. Volunteer Awards

Miss Jin is a highly successful female entrepreneur and founder of Xiangde Zhai. She is also an active social media influencer. Beyond her business success, Xiu’e remains deeply committed to giving back to the community. Since 2023, she has partnered with G.P.S. to create the “Gifted People Mooncake” project, allowing adult program participants to take part in production and charity sales. She has also organized multiple fundraising events to encourage public support and raise awareness for children with special needs.

Dr. Kwan is an Ontario registered Chinese and Western medicine practitioner with decades of clinical experience. He has held many free lectures on TCM in Chinese Medicine forums and has won numerous awards, such as the 2024 Pine Tree Senior Awards and the Best Volunteer Award. has been volunteering at G.P.S. since October 2023. His sincere kindness and high-quality treatments have benefited many children with autism as well as our staff members.

In April 2024, Nitharsan was referred to GPS as a volunteer by Councillor Logan. Initially, he was introverted and shy, reluctant to go out, so his father brought him along. He comes twice a week, helping with cleaning, organizing supplies, and actively participates in various activities. After a year and a half of persistence, not only has his work ability improved, but he's also become more outgoing and more willing to proactively communicate and solve problems.

At only sixteen, Julia has already shown exceptional leadership and compassion. She founded her own nonprofit organization at age twelve to support those in need and strengthen community ties. Today, she continues to give back through the Gifted People Service. She organized the 2025 GMTPFCHARITY BANOUET to help GPS raise $1,000, teaching dance to children, performing in charity shows, and helping organize community events.

Shayne Yang, a Grade 12 student ，has been a dedicated volunteer at Gifted People Services for two years. He began as a skating tutor, helping children build confidence and coordination, and later led three STEM camps that introduced kids to hands-on science and robotics. As a mentor for GPS’s FIRST Lego League team, Shayne continues to inspire creativity and teamwork.

Rebecca is a Grade 11 student who has been volunteering at G.P.S. since 2023. Although she was a bit introverted at first, she gradually became cheerful and confident, earning the admiration of both teachers and peers. Because of her outstanding performance during the summer camps, she was selected to work as a summer intern at G.P.S. for two consecutive years. In her spare time, she actively participates in charity activities—leading her classmates to make cookies and hot dogs for fundraising events and helping paint the walls of the center, making her a true role model within the GPS community.
