Job Type: Full-time, Part-time Work Content: 1. Take care of children with special needs from 10 to 20 years old, including autism, developmental delay, etc. 2. Accompany the child to do homework, walk, do crafts, play games, etc. 3. Do simple indoor cleaning: floor, tabletop, toys, garbage removal, etc. 4. If conditions permit, take the child to a nearby park. 5. Under the guidance of professional teachers, learn about children's positive behaviors and ideas. 6. Occasionally complete other temporary tasks assigned by the center. Job Type: Part-time or Full-time Salary: Negotiable Overview: We are seeking skilled Instructor Therapists to provide ABA/IBI services to children with special needs. This role involves implementing treatment plans for preschool and school-age children, as well as adolescents (ages 3-18), under BCBA supervision. Note that this position requires traveling to clients' homes. Start Date: Immediate Key Responsibilities: - Implement the ABA/IBI program related to the needs and goals of the client under BCBA supervision. - Support client goals by implementing strategies and monitoring progress. - Collect data and communicate with the BCBA. - Maintain a good rapport with the interdisciplinary team, including the family. - Create and maintain a healthy and positive environment for the client to promote progress. - Provide consultation and education to the family regarding the client's needs and goals. - Create optimal learning opportunities by including the family in the therapy sessions. - Adhere to the policies and procedures of the center. Qualifications: - Educational background in behavioral sciences, psychology, or early childhood education. - Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. - Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work collaboratively with other team members. - A valid Ontario Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle or other reliable method of transportation. - Experience as an Instructor Therapist (IT) implementing ABA/IBI programming is an asset (training will be provided as required). - First Aid and CPR certification. - ABA/Autism related Diploma/Certificate is an asset. - Willingness to travel to clients' homes. - Successful candidates are required to complete a criminal background check (with Vulnerable Sector).
