2026 Volunteer Awards

Best New Volunteer

This award celebrates fresh energy and enthusiasm, recognizing volunteers who, within their first year of service, have made an exceptional impact. It honours those who quickly became valuable team members, embraced new challenges, and demonstrated a strong commitment to our mission. One youth (under 18) and one adult (18 and over) will be selected each year.

Selection Criteria

  • Strong Start – Demonstrates outstanding contributions within their first year of volunteering.

  • Quick Learner – Adapts quickly to new tasks, responsibilities, and team dynamics.

  • Positive Attitude – Brings enthusiasm and a willingness to help in any way needed.

  • Immediate Impact – Has already made a noticeable difference to events, programs, or the community.

  • You have to come and volunteer at least once.

XIU'E JIN

2025 Best New Volunteer (Adult)

Miss Jin is a highly successful female entrepreneur and founder of Xiangde Zhai. She is also an active social media influencer. Beyond her business success, Xiu’e remains deeply committed to giving back to the community. Since 2023, she has partnered with G.P.S. to create the “Gifted People Mooncake” project, allowing adult program participants to take part in production and charity sales. She has also organized multiple fundraising events to encourage public support and raise awareness for children with special needs.

Julia Guzman

2025 Best New Volunteer (Youth)

At only sixteen, Julia has already shown exceptional leadership and compassion. She founded her own nonprofit organization at age twelve to support those in need and strengthen community ties. Today, she continues to give back through the Gifted People Service. She organized the 2025 GMTPFCHARITY Banquet to help GPS raise $1,000, teaching dance to children, performing in charity shows, and helping organize community events.
