Our Gifted People Services and Fu Lin Men Senior Home also participated with two booths. The Gifted People Services booth had a special souvenir sale, yogurt cups, a lucky draw, and beautiful bookmarks as gifts. The volunteers at the Senior Home prepared a variety of delicious food, including fried rice, fried noodles, cold noodles, glutinous rice desserts, exquisite vegetarian dishes, tea eggs, fried dough sticks, and steamed locust flowers, a northern specialty, which reflected the enthusiasm and skill of the seniors. Adult students from Gifted People Services also attended the event, participating in the charity sale at the booth and enhancing their practical and communication skills.

Besides the delicious food and exquisite souvenirs, the stage at the fair also featured wonderful performances, including songs, dances, recitations, Tai Chi, and skits, creating a lively and festive atmosphere. Teacher Zhao Yuan from the senior citizens' home provided piano accompaniment, leading 26 seniors in a performance of "Love Endures" and "Congratulations!" Their beautiful voices and powerful presence showcased the seniors' love for life and pursuit of beauty, earning enthusiastic applause from the audience. Twelve women also performed a fashion show, "Beautiful Women in the Rainy Alley," walking gracefully to melodious music. Although some were over eighty, their upright posture and confident demeanor demonstrated the fruits of their hard work under the guidance of Teacher Yang from the senior citizens' home, drawing cheers and admiration from the audience.

 

​​​​The garden party was meticulously organized, and the atmosphere was joyful and peaceful. The elderly residents of the senior center were even lucky enough to win big prizes, bringing smiles to their faces.

What was particularly delightful was that students from the Special Education Program at the Gifted Children's Service Center also participated in the charity sale. They not only actively sold items at their stall but also distributed meaningful bookmarks from the book "Warriors of the Heart" throughout the garden party. The Gifted Children's Service Center organizes for children to gain experience and integrate into social life in various scenarios, and their progress and growth have brought great joy to their parents and teachers.
